ujecia wody

For years, the resources of underground waters have been the main source of providing water for the residents of the city of Gdansk. Gdansk water-bearing system comprises water-bearing strata: the quaternary, the tertiary and the cretaceous waters. All water-bearing strata are supplied in postglacial uplands (Kashubian Lake District), and drained in the ice-marginal valley of Reda, in the sea coastal lowlands and in the Gdansk Bay.
Gdansk supply in water is based in 70% on underground water, whereas 30% of the demand is currently met by the surface water intake in Straszyn.
