Gdansk Water & Wastewater II

Description

The project comprises measures to improve the quality and management of drinking water as well as the collection and treatment of wastewater in the City of Gdansk, Poland in order to comply with EC Directives.

Objectives

The investments fall under the capital program for the years 2010-2014, which is driven by the need to renew and extend the existing asset base, raise efficiency, secure supply and service to customers as well as increase drinking water quality and comply with EU Directives.

Water supply network New network - c.a. 13,0 km,
Pressure rising station - 1.

Sanitary network New network - c.a. 27 km
Reconstructions of the network (gravitational & pressurized) - c.a. 4,5 km
New waste water pumping stations - 10.
Demolition of waste water pumping stations - 3.
Modernization of waste water pumping stations - 2.

Sludge disposal Energy Recovery Installation (CHP)- 1.
Sludge Incineration System (ITPO) - 1.

  • Reconstruction of sanitary network in the discharge area of Waste Water Pumping Station "Czerwony Most
  • Modernization of Załogowa waste water pumping station
  • Construction of sanitary and water supply network for Euro 2012 PGE Arena Gdansk at Gdansk Letnica

Extension of "Gdansk East" WWTP - stage II b - sludge disposal Construction of waste water pumping station "Kochanowskiego"

Total cost

Up to PLN 293 million (ca. EUR 75 million). The project is to be financed by The European Union up to 56 % of qualified expenses.

Realization

The project completion date is 31.12.2014.
